St Neots CC Time Trial results for 7th July 2016

24 riders arrived this evening to test themselves against the challenging 11.2 mile Abbotsley course, and although conditions were dry, the wind was not doing the riders any favours, especially in the run up the hill to the golf course turn. First home in a time of 25:42 was Ian Turner followed by a first time guest rider, Alastair Luxford from Welwyn, with a 26:18 and taking third spot, one second ahead of Simon Rinaldo, was the consistent and competitive Keith Barton.

The course only yielded one PB this evening and congratulations to James Thomas for taking 69 seconds from his previous best time.

48 members so far this season have taken part in the TT and with 151 current members there are many of you out there who have not yet sampled the delights and with only 7 TT’s left this season we would encourage you to make time and come down and try. You will not regret the decision.

14th July 2016

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".

Ashman Handicap Trophy: Sunday 10th July

The opportunity to compete for the oldest trophy in the Club dating back to 1938. The Ashman is two circuits of the Abbotsley course (22.4 miles) and is open to all Club members who have posted at least two times in the 2016 season. The second lap is a “flying” lap and if you can post a PB on one of the laps anyone is in with a chance of adding their name to this trophy.

Ashman – Fastest Time – Trophy

In addition to the Handicap Trophy there is also a Trophy for the fastest time for the two circuits.
