Go Ride

  • Go Ride accreditation is a key aim for the first quarter of 2015. Ian Gerrard has now completed CWO training.
  • A large number of promotional flyers have been printed for Go Ride, but the committee felt there was no clear distribution/promotion strategy.
  • A funding request for further training was submitted. The committee felt it was more appropriate to concentrate on building the visibility of Go Ride than agreeing further spending at this stage. The committee agreed that Go Ride needed a clear plan for 2015.

Treasurer’s Report

  • The Treasurer advised that club finances remain healthy. A donation from the Autumn Breeze profits has been made to EAAA is still pending. The Go Ride promotional flyers were printed at a cost of £62.
  • Club membership currently stands at 54, with 52 renewals and 2 new members. This is consistent with the membership renewal profile from 2014.
  • Club kit orders have been disappointing given the previous level of interest.

Racing and Time Trials

  • The committee confirmed the Club's participation in the Beds Road CC inter-club TT & Hill Climb series. The Club will need to provide a minimum of 8 riders, all abilities are welcome.
  • New TT signs have been ordered.
  • CTT fees for 2014 are still to be paid.
  • The Club TT dates for 2015 have been confirmed as 30 April to 27 August.
  • Open TT venue for 17 May 2015 to be reviewed.
  • NCRA racing season opens in March. The Club has 9 racers interested in competing and currently has 1 free place for the Naseby race.
  • Rockingham racing begins in May and the 2-day race will take place in June or July.
  • Our NCRA Open Road Race will again take place in March 2015. The Club needs additional equipment to support the NCRA race in March, including (but not limited to) a bell, a lap board and flags.
  • A number of Club members are completing at the Tour of Cambridgeshire TT in June 2015.
  • The committee discussed whether to investigate the introduction of a Gravity Race into the Hill Climb this year, possibly with a combined trophy. Needs further discussion.
  • Regular racers and testers at the Club to be contacted requesting more reports for publication.

CCF

  • Nothing to report.

Social Plans

  • Costings for the Rollapaluza event are approximately £700, which the committee agreed was too costly for a Club event. It was proposed we combine with other local clubs at the end of the racing season for an inter-club competition of around 70 people. Needs further discussion.
  • A curry night will be held on 27 February.
  • It was agreed that the Hell of St Neots 2015 should use a shorter route.
  • Non-local rides were proposed in the Chilterns and Rutland (and possibly further afield). Positive feedback received from membership.
  • A ride out was proposed to support Club members riding the ToC TT.
  • It was agreed that any Century rides should be advertised in advance so members could build towards them. It was also proposed that Finchingfield would be an interesting alternative destination to Rutland.

Autumn Breeze 2015

  • The committee agreed to commit a portion of profits from Autumn Breeze 2015 to a local charity. The Upside Down Swimming Club in St Neots was proposed for consideration. Needs further discussion.
  • The committee agreed that AB 2015 entries should remain at the same level as 2014
  • It was confirmed that AB 2015 would use two feedstations for 2015.

AOB

  • First aid courses for members to be considered.
  • First aid kits to be purchased.
