Sunday 3rd of June saw the first round of this year's five event inter club series which was an 11.3 mile time trial organised by beds road CC starting from their club house at Cardington.

The route took riders up the notorious hill to old warden and looped back via ickwell, northill and Cople. Despite a set of temporary roadworks appearing in old warden part way through the event the mighty green White and black team  managed to pull off a second place overall finish on the day behind the host club,

Well done to the 11 riders who represented the club on the day, Sam McDonald was our fastest but great rides were also put in by Norman king, Dave Richards, Steve Lyons, Dave Wilson, Simon Richardson, Chris green Dave Lindsay, mark Greenhow,  Pat Ellerbeck ( having qualified third in his age group for the UCI world masters final the previous day at the TOC) and Keith Barton. This gives us a great start and a good foothold in this year's competition and it would be great to see as many club members as possible at the 30 mile event at Southill on June 24th.
