A night very much like the previous week in which the wind had swung round to the north relieving the pain for the ride into Gamlingay on the circuit. Yet once again it was down to Richard Hancock who seemed again to ride with super strength and post a time very nearly the same as the previous week.

With Richard Ostler not being present, Richard Hancock was the only rider inside of thirty minutes! Once again the event enjoyed a full field.

Wayne Tunnah, David Lindsay, Steve Blows and Adrian Taverna who will all expect to improve significantly did so this week gaining time on their previous outing. The lantern rouge was taken by the Ruth Stapleton.

The race this coming week starts at 7:15pm at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with signing on at 7:00pm. The TT runs on a circular course of a distance of 11.2 miles and is of a sporting nature covering mainly quiet country roads.

St Neots Cycling Club also runs social rides on Sundays, meeting at the Market Square in St Neots at 8:30am.

It is good to see new faces at this event, which is a “Come and Try” event for those curious to try this form of cycle racing.
