Better weather saw some significant improvements and personal bests, and with the weather forecast for the following week being much warmer, the times are likely to be improved upon once more. Again we had an excellent turnout.

Richard Hancock put everything in to the closing yards to go just sub 26 minutes on this tricky course with a 25:59, which is just shy of 26mph average speed. Justin Lomas was next fastest with a 27:16 and returning to the time trial scene was St Neots CC's Tim Pennell putting in a very creditable third spot at 28:34. The event had six riders under the “Magical “ 30 minute barrier, but for several there was pain and anguish at coming close to this goal - first was Adrian Taverna by the closest of margins followed by Mick Watts And David Lindsay all separated by one second.

Alistair Henderson showed good improvement this week and is close to going sub 32 minutes for the first time. A new rider Chris Ritchie was going well and a possible sub 30 minutes but unfortunately suffered a puncture. Rob Black was this weeks Lantern Rouge.

The race this coming week starts at 7:30pm at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with signing on at 7:15pm. The race runs on a course of 11.2 miles on a sporting circuit covering mainly rural roads.
