The weather on Sunday looks to be dry, cool and overcast with moderate south-westerly winds.
This was a cat 2/3/4 race on a gloriously sunny day and unusually short at 37 miles ... and I was humming ‘Easy like Sunday morning’ as I rumbled up a track into the stubble field that was our HQ. The rational side of my brain quietly pointed out that the quality of the start list suggested it was going to be anything but easy.
As we waited for the Commissaire’s briefing, the chatter was about Nicole Oh (just behind me on the start line) having won the National Masters Circuit Race yesterday. And on my left, a 4th cat, eyes wide at the calibre of riders assembled, was longing for 1 more point to reach 3rd cat.Read more...
A much improved evening for the 19 riders ready to start at the 16th SNCC TT of the 2017 season. A still evening with a slight breeze on the riders' backs up to the golf course turn resulted in 4 PBs being posted by Simon, Dave S, Norman and Craig and congratulations to Craig for his first sub 30 minute TT. Fastest home this evening with a time of 27:10 was our formidable 65 year old farmer Pat Ellerbeck fresh from his recent sub 1 hour 25 mile TT’s followed by David and Karl in second and third place.Read more...

A mixture of the holiday season and some very strong winds saw only ten riders prepared to take on the 11.2 mile TT course this evening.
Well done to the brave ten foolhardy or brave souls who came out to challenge themselves on the 11.2 mile course. It is an unforgiving course in the wind and only one club rider was within a minute of their PB this evening – Craig McDonald. First home was one of our regular guest riders , Kevin Stokes who was only eleven seconds from his best time of the 2017 season followed by Pat Ellerbeck in second place with David Lindsay third fastest on the night.Read more...
