Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on places (not necessarily shops) that offer good quality and reliable bike servicing, nothing particulary tricky just stuff like indexing and identifying creaks and grinds etc.
Having been left frustrated by some of the local StN options I'd be happy to travel and to leave my bikes in return for good service.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Nick

Broken Spoke for me, but guessing you've already tried there?

Not terribly impressed with work to date or the time taken.
I met somebody the other day who had used a sole trader (who races and services bikes in his spare time) based near Bedford; may give them a try.
Thanks
Nick

As above Paul will do you a good job at a very fair price and he'll pick your bike up and bring it back.

You can't say that's not a good service!

A quick update.......I picked up my bike yesterday lunchtime following a fairly basic service (gear cable replacement and indexing, and service of the disc brakes) and everything expected has been done in the timeframe advised and for decent value for money.
Would happily recommend Cog 2 Cog and have already dropped off another bike for a new headset and fettle.
