I was wondering if anyone in the club has a "gopro" or similar helemt/bike mounted video camera that they could bring out on a club run with them?
Reason being I think it would be good to showcase a clubrun on the website and upload a video to show people new to cycling what it is like.
Ok, there will be a bit of editing to speed it up and it may be boring to some of the regular members but it would none the less be a resource to newer members or people wishing to give the club a go.
- my feeling is that footage from both groups would be great.
What do people think and does anyone have a camera and up for giving it a shot?

I've got a Drift helmet cam. It really needs a goggle strap to mount it tho as I use it mainly for off-road motorcycling. I've got an adhesive mount on my main, motorcycle road helmet.
I've got a spare adhesive mount but I can't see anywhere wide or flat enough to stick it on my cycling helmet.
I think it could maybe be mounted using the goggle strap mount and some zip-ties through the helmet vents to keep it in place.
One of the things I like about the Drift over the GoPro is that it has a wrist-watch-style remote to start and stop recording so you don't need to faff about looking for little buttons.
I am on-call this weekend so won't be on the club ride, but if someone wants to pick it up they could certainly borrow it for the morning.
I was using it at Cadwell Park race-track last week and noticed some bad judder when it was rendered on the laptop, I've since done a firmware update which SEEMS to have fixed it, but I've not tested it properly.

No problem. I should be home by 6-7pm this evening and then home, or near home all weekend.
I'll pm you my contact details.

I feel that David wants more shiny stuff so the £250 from "you've been framed" would be most welcome.

Which would just about cover the cost of the camera if it gets trashed in the process

David, would it not be easier to get a motorbike mounted cameraman. You'll get quality, professional video, although space in your garage and running costs might be an issue...

Depending how serious the suggestion is, I could always put the helmet cam on and ride the motorcycle. If we want to get really serious about it, I could also mount a cam-corder facing backwards on the bike.
I don't currently have a bike I can take a passenger on, as I'm selling the FJR touring bike, and my KTM Adventure is a 'dakar' spec off-road bike so doesn't have space for passengers.
