Im putting this thread here in the first instance and as a result of tonight's AGM we have decided to run a bolt on to a goride session a group ride training session for less experienced riders or those who feel they may benefit from such a session. We will plan to run through such things as through & off, communication ect. Hopefully this may become a two way learning experience for coaches and club members alike. We already have 3 interested parties and would hope to run the first session sometime before christmas directly after a goride session. If anyone feels they would benefit from this then let the club know via email. I will try to update people as and when as to what format the session will take along with times and dates.

Hi Terry,
I've had an idea for Sunday morning - it will take about 10 - 15 minutes before the club run, to do a training session - not on bikes but on foot to demonstrate how it works and then convert this to the road. We could gather everyone round the market square and walk everyone through it. Let me know your thoughts. If you aren't there I am happy to do it.

Tim I so hope your being serious because its a fine idea which may just work however we are still going to run the bolt on sessions unless I get a life before christmas. I wont be there on Sunday as Im at woburn feeding hennesy to the big scary lions. Steve lyons will probably help if he can remember how to walk.

Once the date is known perhaps as minister of propaganda I could put a note in the local rag and label it up as a come and try session. Maybe we could then tie on a 15 - 20 mile taster ride at the end. Dependant upon availability I'd be happy to lead a group out.

Hi Terry,
no problem, but can you make it clear that it will be weather permitting - if it's p....sing down then it's not in anyones interests to do it then - I will do it the following week, and the following week, and the following week - until all our fabulous members know how to ride together in a group.
