TT#10 Race Results …
We had an overcast evening with a threat of rain (which started as a drizzle) as it turned out with some riders getting wet (picking up the signs was definitely in the wet).
Initially Mike (Timekeeper) and myself (Asst,/Pusher Off/Signs) thought we'd only have 4 riders, but slowly and by sign on we got to 8 riders, reassuring. Then 2 late arrivals in Tina and Justin who we tacked onto the end of the field. 10 riders, which is the biggest field of the season.
We had 2 new riders in Megan and Anthony Kendrick, Megan is a member and Anthony has yet to be persuaded.
It was difficult to know what conditions were like but all seemed to cope well, although SHaun reported his rear wheel slipped and Megan had a mechanical on Tetworth Hill where her chain came off.
Megan was doing her first performance and her 40.36 is admirable with a mechanical and I know she will go quicker and she smiled all the way round.
Nice to see Chris back again. He is still chasing my PB (that's his target) and hopefully he will get better conditions soon.
Anthony looked like a good cyclist and was in close competition with Stephen Douglas from CCA (back again) and Nick and Mark.
Nick was consistent again, he's knocking on that sub 30 door.
It was interesting that Simon Murphy was first across the line with his best time of the season.
Shaun looked good finishing despite his rear wheel slipping, he's recovered from his knee injury.
And finally Justin turned in an excellent sub-30 and said he;s still not fresh, Tina finished with a big smile and put in a good time again another who will get the good conditions to better my PB!
Thanks to all the riders, please consider turning up for some of the last 5 events and let's keep the numbers in double figures, it's a great course and this will be our last season on the course.
See some of you at the Inter Club on Saturday.

TT#10 Handicap Points Table...
The Handicap Trophy points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members and First Time LTS/PB races. So tonight 10 riders and 7 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it. A Handicap Time greater than 25 minutes shows how much you are off your PB. This year the handicap PB is based on the best time in the last three seasons (LTS - 2021-2023/2024) and not a riders life time best as in previous years.
Congratulations to Justin Lomas for taking the maximum points on offer tonight.
