25 riders from Icknield RC, Beds Road CC, Hitchin Nomads CC, CC Ashwell and St Neots CC ready at the start line at 10am on a glorious summers’ day on the SNCC Abbotsley 11.2 mile TT course.

We had 1 from IRC, 4 from BRCC, 8 from HNCC, 6 from CCA and 6 from SNCC and on behalf of SNCC thank you for joining us this morning and we hope that for the non SNCC riders you enjoyed our testing course and the coffee and cake at the end.

Congratulations to the above and to all the riders who finished. Unfortunately, Paul Willamson from SNCC came off on the second bend when leaving Waresley and he reckons he would have been on for third or fourth place. Hope the shoulder heals quickly and that you can continue your racing this season.

SNCC came 3rd on the day and the full results can be seen at:-

The next event is the BRCC 15 on Sun 22nd Sept, please consider entering it should be a good event.

As always, these events can only happen with pre planning organisation and volunteers on the day to keep the riders safe.

Norman King, SNCC Chairman, organised the event superbly from start to finish and without him the event would not have happened.

Special thanks to Mandy McEvoy for her excellent time keeping and fitting in the rider who got “lost” and missed their time slot on the start time. Mike Biggs for “pushing off” and to Alistair Henderson for assisting with the timekeeping.

Other thanks are to the following for giving up their time and help make the event a great success, in no particular order: Simon Richardson sign on/off (and Marshalling); Marshalls Pat Ellerbeck, John Montgomery, Justin Lomas, David Thomas and Simon Winter.
