TT#11 Race Results …
There had been some anticipation from some that Thurs evening would be the perfect conditions for racing at Abbo. The threatened thunderstorms never materialised although we could see the dark clouds off to the West. This evening Mike Biggs and myself were doing the TK'ing and Nic (following his warm weather training in Spain) was doing the signs.
Ten intrepid riders signed on for the 7pm start (the remainder of the season is a 7pm start). Stassi was spectating following her crash at the Beverley GP. One guest rider, long time friend of the club Dom Whitehead was back, his first ride since recovering from cancer over the winter, welcome back Dom.
We warned riders that there were tractors on the course (fairly obvious as they were going up and down the Croxton road).
We mused that all riders would be back almost at the same time as it turned out all riders returned within 2.24 of each other. Kept us busy and the value of having 2 people TK'ing proved invaluable.
Nick was first back and broke the 30 minute barrier at last, by a huge 34 secs, well done Nick. Simon Murphy finished second with a very respectable time again, he's having a very consistent season. Shaun had a sub-25, following his ride at SICC on Weds he didn't seem to be affected. Justin finished next, he'd had an altercation with a car driver who had threatened to knock him off his bike, however Justin did not get the full number plate and was obviously upset and angry at this incident. Tima came in with a big PB and is getting into the swing of TTs and is threatening to do the next Inter Club at BRCC. Pat did a good time and was followed closely by Geoff who bettered his time from last Sat. Nic came in with another sub-25 and looked good, he was 3 secs behind Shaun on the night. In came Dom looking like he'd not been away. Finally Mark came in with a consistent sub-29.
This is written before knowing the scores on the doors but it looks like Nick is showing good form. Only 4 Abbos to go, come and join us for all the fun.

TT#11 Handicap Points Table...
The Handicap Trophy points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members and First Time LTS/PB races. So tonight 10 riders and 9 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it. A Handicap Time greater than 25 minutes shows how much you are off your PB. This year the handicap PB is based on the best time in the last three seasons (LTS - 2021-2023/2024) and not a riders life time best as in previous years.
Congratulations to Tina Dankwart for taking the maximum points on offer tonight.
