TT#13 Race Results …
The third last Abbo TT was held last night in less than perfect conditions with a strong South-Westerly and the threat of rain. It was still warm and all riders (8 signed on, 6 members and 2 guests) and we were set.
As we got the riders ready to go the drizzle started. Then off our intrepid riders we certainly had a lot of fast guys out. After they went, it rained quite hard. Mike and I sheltered in my car.
First back was Simon Murphy who looked in control and still did a 25.52. He was closely followed by his minute man Shaun in 25.19, then in came Sam in an impressive 24.26. Pat turned in a very steady and good 28.31. We then expected to see Adam about now but no sign, Income our 2 guests, it is good to see our guests, come back again Trevor and Stephen. Then Adam rolled in quite slowly (but still a 27.02) and finally Geoff turned in a good 34.55 which was excellent on the night.
It turned out Adam had crashed on the last corner, a bit of damage to him but more importantly not too much damage to his bike. All riders said the wind was testing and that the rain made the surface very slippery (lots of harvesting and no rain for 2 weeks).
I gave Adam a lift home and then got the signs in as it got dark. Thanks to Mike for Timekeeping, I think he has a future in this.
Two more Abbos to go, Hayley Simmonds has said she will ride next week.

TT#13 Handicap Points Table...
The Handicap Trophy points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members and First Time LTS/PB races. So tonight 8 riders and 6 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it. A Handicap Time greater than 25 minutes shows how much you are off your PB. This year the handicap PB is based on the best time in the last three seasons (LTS - 2021-2023/2024) and not a riders life time best as in previous years.
Congratulations to Simon Murphy for taking the maximum points on offer tonight.
