TT results 24th July 2014
Once again, the traffic lights through Abbotsley prevented us from running the normal 11.2 miles TT this evening. We started the TT after the last house as you leave Abbotsley on the way to St Neots and finished the TT shortly after the church at the left hand turn to Waresley as you descend the hill.
There were only 13 riders this evening including Kevin Stokes (guest) who went under 27 minutes followed by Simon Richardson and Geoff Smith who maintained their form from the previous week both being under 28 minutes again.
There was a notable performance from Leon Bradford who was under 32 minutes and at the ripe old age of 72 still turns a mean pedal. Lewis Rooney who is 50 years younger than Leon and only 37 seconds ahead of him on the night was just grateful than he was not any slower!
Lantern rouge this evening was Jon Keefe. This was Jon’s last TT for a few weeks as he will be getting married next week and he is “under instruction” not to do any more riding before the wedding. Congratulations from all the Club and we look forward to seeing you back at the TT before the end of the season
Handicap Trophy
The maillon jaune continues to be held by Martin Kirby and for another week he has taken the maximum points on offer to push his points total to 164.
We hear that holidays are pending for Martin which may open the door for the chasing pack.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
