Turner Fastest...

The second evening of the SNCC TT season had 26 riders at the start of the 11.2 mile Abbotsley course. The dreaded traffic lights returned (for what we hope is only one week) meaning that we had to revert to the short course with the start line at the exit of Abbotsley village and the finish at the top of the hill near the church.

Consequently, times recorded this evening will not count towards PBs and for the purpose of the Handicap Trophy the current handicap times will apply.

On the night it was good to see Mark Greenhow and Ian Turner returning to compete and we welcomed another two first timers in Rob Moir and Ian Peak.

Congratulations to Ian Turner for posting a time of 24:51 followed by Nic Pillinger with 25:48 and Christian Tredidgo on 26:51

We had an excellent finish with the last 5 riders crossing the line within 30 seconds of each other and although the course was slightly shorter, still good to see 9 riders under 30 minutes.

22 points on offer this evening ( first timers and guests do not count) ) and congratulations to Dave Richards for taking the maximum points followed by Andrew Phillis with both improving on their respective times from the full course by three minutes.

After 2 TT’s David Wilson and Aaron Bird lead the chase for the 2015 Handicap Trophy with 35 points apiece

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign-on at the latest at 6.45 pm for a 7.00pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
