Hattersley Goes SUB-25
Very similar conditions to the previous week greeted the 20 riders at the start line for the 7th event in the 2015 SNCC TT season. Once again the wind was very much in the riders' favour for the first three miles to the golf course turn followed by a hard push past the golf course and onto the top road into a strong headwind.
These conditions certainly suited the 11 riders who posted PB’s on the evening and were led home by St Ives rider Luke Hattersley with an impressive 24.45 matching Ed’s time of the previous week.
Ww were delighted to see the other half of the Hancock clan (Judith) supporting the TT, and with a 33.30 at the recent Open TT took a further 1.41 from that time to post 31.49. Impressive improvements also on their respective PB’s from David Lindsay and Gary Newman both taking 51 seconds off their previous times. Well done to David W for his first sub 30 minute time. The over 60’s brigade – Leon, David R and Alistair – managed to set PB’s for the second successive week.
Commiserations to Chris Green who punctured at about 6 miles and well done to David S for taking 5 minutes off last week’s time and clearly ignoring his heart monitor in the process!

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7.00 pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".

Judith picked up maximum 18 points (guests do not count) followed by David and Gary who shared the points for joint second place.
David W’s 14 points keeps him at the head of the leaderboard with David R staying in contention 6 points behind with the ever consistent Nic Pillinger a further 5 points behind.
The contest to be 2015 Handicap champion remains wide open and with 12 TT’s left this season it will be all about how many TT’s you can ride and achieving or being close to PBs on over the next 12 weeks.
