Turner shades the course
Thursday night saw Ian Turner become the third club member not only to ride sub-25, but also to take 3 seconds off of Ed Porteous’s recently-set club record by going around the Abbotsley course in 24:42.
26 riders started, with 2 guests and 1 com- and-try, so 23 points were on offer in the handicap competition. Aaron Bird took the 23 points by taking over two minutes off his previous PB.
We welcomed back Adrian Taverna and Darren Preston (who we could hear coming down the road), to the TT and they both set PB’s so were glad they came. Overall on the night there 8 new PBs. Congratulations to Ian and all who set PBs.
This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7.00 pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
