Pillinger FASTEST...
25 riders were ready at the start line to contest one of the few remaining TTs of the 2015 season and despite the reasonably favourable conditions the course only yielded 6 PBs for the 18 SNCC club members in attendance. First home in a time of 26:04 was the ever consistent Nic Pillinger with two of our regular guest riders, Jason Stuart and Karl Hiner, taking second and third spots respectively with times of 26:14 and 26:38.
Congratulations to Simon Rinaldo, Mark Greenhow, Chris Green, Keith Barton, Lee Houghton and Leon Bradford for their respective PBs. Special mention to Simon for his first sub 27 minutes time especially on a standard road bike and to Leon, our 73 year old, for finding yet another 21 seconds to improve on his PB. For some, the prospect of Mandy’s coffee and cake takes precedence over racing, with Mark Mossop foregoing his race number to make sure that none of the cake went to waste and cheering on the other riders instead.

Chris Green continues with the yellow jersey and rumour has it that he has postponed all holidays to ensure that he remains in contention for the 2015 Handicap Trophy. With only 3 TTs left for this season it will take a lot to catch Chris, however Nic and Simon are poised to capitalise on any slip up by the leader over the next three weeks.
We would encourage all riders to attend as much as they can over the next three weeks to ensure that the contest remains as open as possible as it may still be decided on the final TT of 27th August.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7.00 pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
