Thunder & Lightening & Hattersley FASTEST...
N.B. Start Time for 20th August is 7pm and not 7.15pm
Conditions were not ideal for the 15 riders ready to contest the third last TT of the season. The heavens had already provided an early indication that rain, thunder and lightning were in the air, however they all held off for the start at 7.15pm.
The course was wet and corners had to be taken with more care than usual and thankfully when the rain came all the riders were on the course and heading for the finish line.
Fastest on the night was one of our regular guests, Luke Hattersley, posting 25 minutes followed by Adrian Taverna on 26:38 and David Lindsay on 26:39.
The course only yielded one PB on the night and that went to the “old master” Leon Bradford who managed to find yet another 2 seconds following the 21 seconds he found last week. Chapeau!
The usual post ride chatter and cake eating was curtailed as the skies darkened ominously as a prelude to the ensuing thunder and lightning as those who had ridden wanted to get home as quickly as possible.

Handicap Trophy – Running Total
Chris Green takes a 25 point lead into the final two TT’s of this season with Simon Rinaldo moving into second place to keep the pressure on Chris to maintain his form over the next two weeks.
It would be good to see as many riders out for the next two TTs to ensure that the destination of the 2015 Handicap Trophy remains open until the final TT on 27th August

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village and note the earlier sign on at 6.45 pm for a 7.00 pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try". We would also recommend lights.
