SNCC TT results for 9th June 2016
22 riders turned up this evening ready to test themselves against the 11.2 mile Abbotsley course. Conditions had improved substantially over the previous week and the expectation was that a number of PBs would be achieved.
The veteran of the SNCC TT series Richard Hancock once again led the way home with a 25:24 with his second sub-26 minutes of the season. Karl Hiner, one of our regular guest riders, took 7 seconds from his previous best time of 2016 to record a 26:08. Nic Pillinger was third fastest home with a 26:13.
Keith Barton continues to push himself and he has now gone sub-27 minutes for the first time. Mr PB consistency for 2016, Sam McDonald, was unable to take his successive PBs to seven; however he was only five seconds off his PB.
There were six PBs on the evening, led home by 67 year old Dave Richards, who took 51 seconds of his PB followed by 14 year old Daniel Biggs who improved his PB by 39 seconds. Congratulations also to Danny Brooks, Neil Adams, Keith Barton and Roger Silk for their respective PBs. Well done to Danny and Neil for going sub-30 minutes for the first time
Good to see Adrian Taverna and Daniel Grant making their 2016 debuts.
So far this season 41 members have taken part in the TT and with 144 current members we would encourage anyone who has not tried the TT to come along on a Thursday evening and enjoy !!.

After 7 TTs this season, the ever consistent Sam MacDonald remains in the lead with 110 points. However there isno room for complacency with chasing pack of Keith, Neil, Danny and Dave on his wheel.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
Ashman Handicap Trophy: Sunday 10th July
A date for your diaries to compete for the oldest trophy in the Club dating back to 1938. The Ashman is two circuits of the Abbotsley course (22.4 miles) and is open to all Club members who have posted at least two times in the 2016 season.
Ashman – Fastest Time – Trophy
In addition to the Handicap Trophy there is also a Trophy for the fastest time for the two circuits.
