St Neots CC results for 14th July 2016
28 riders turned up this evening to test themselves against the challenging 11.2 mile Abbotsley course, and with calm conditions and little wind the course tonight yielded six PBs as the race towards the 2016 Handicap Trophy continues.
First home in a time of 25:56 was Nic Pillinger with his first sub 26 minutes of the season and only 11 seconds from his PB followed by Keith Barton and Simon Rinaldo in second and third place.
Congratulations to the six riders with PBs – Daniel Grant, Sam Macdonald, Stephen Lyons, Steve Owens, Jane Kinnaird and Keith Barton.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".

As mentioned above 6 PBs this evening and with 21 points on offer (guests do not count) the maximum points were taken by Daniel who improved his PB by 58 seconds and the ever consistent Sam in second place with 20 points and Stephen in third place with 19 points.
A handicap time under 25 minutes shows the improvement on PB and a time over 25 minutes shows by how much you missed your PB.

Handicap Results – Total
With 12 TTs completed plus the Ashman Trophy and with 6 TTs to go the race for the 2016 Handicap Trophy continues and with 8 of the current top 10 taking points this evening Sam MacDonald remains out in front as he has been for most of this season with 189 points.
The relentless Keith Barton however is determined to keep on Sam’s wheel and with only a difference of 22 points he remains well placed to take advantage of any slip or absence by Sam before the end of the season.
