Sam McDonald wins - we're loving it...
We were missing a few of the regular riders this evening despite the conditions being reasonable for the 14th TT of the season. Only 17 riders to take on the 11.2 mile SNCC TT course and whilst the rain threatened for a while it passed over allowing the riders to enjoy the course in dry conditions.
Congratulations to Sam McDonald for posting the fastest time of the evening and also congratulations to Craig McDonald for his third consecutive PB garnering him 60 points over the past three weeks and to the ever consistent Simon Elkington for yet another PB to add to his tally for the 2017 season.
Pat Ellerbeck fresh from his recent sub one hour 25 mile TT ( chapeau to the 64 year old) was only 4 seconds from his PB to post the second fastest time on the night with regular guest rider Andrew Knowles taking third spot.
As will be seen below the winner of the 2017 Handicap Trophy remains open and let’s have as many riders attending for the next 4 weeks to ensure that there are plenty of points on offer and we may have , as has happened in the past , the final TT being the decider for the Trophy.
Average time on the night was 31:29 and average number at the TT’s is 22 for the season with over 60 different riders taking part so far in 2017.
Next TT – Thursday 3rd August: Sign on 7pm (at the latest) for a 7.15pm start

Handicap Results
Quick reminder that for the Handicap Trophy points are awarded for all number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members. So tonight17 riders and 16 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it.
A handicap time > 25 minutes shows how much you missed your PB by. To be in contention for points you need to ride close to your PB or improve on it.

Handicap Trophy
The destination of the 2017 Handicap Trophy remains very open as we begin the countdown to the last 4 TTs and with August typically a busy month for holidays it will be interesting as to who will prevail. It is likely that the winner will come from the current top 3 – Simon, Nic and Dave – so who will be around for the next 4 TT’s and who will be on holiday?
