Ten brave the wind - Stokes triumphs...
A mixture of the holiday season and some very strong winds saw only ten riders prepared to take on the 11.2 mile TT course this evening.
Well done to the brave ten foolhardy or brave souls who came out to challenge themselves on the 11.2 mile course. It is an unforgiving course in the wind and only one club rider was within a minute of their PB this evening – Craig McDonald. First home was one of our regular guest riders , Kevin Stokes who was only eleven seconds from his best time of the 2017 season followed by Pat Ellerbeck in second place with David Lindsay third fastest on the night.
For the first time in very many weeks there were no PB’s posted this evening
As will be seen below the winner of the 2017 Handicap Trophy remains open and let’s have as many riders attending for the next 4 weeks to ensure that there are plenty of points on offer and we may have , as has happened in the past , the final TT being the decider for the Trophy.
Average time on the night was 31:21 and average number at the TT’s is 21 for the season with over 60 riders taking part so far in 2017.
Thanks to John Brysdon for helping out again with the timekeeping with Colin Mullins taking the night off to celebrate his birthday.

Handicap Results
Quick reminder that for the Handicap Trophy points are awarded for all number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members. So tonight 10 riders and 9 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it.
A handicap time > 25 minutes shows how much you missed your PB by. To be in contention for points you need to ride close to your PB or improve on it.

Handicap Trophy
With the current top 3 in the race for the 2017 Handicap Trophy all missing in action this evening their positions remain unchanged and with only nine points on offer there was unlikely to be any significant change to the current leaderboard.
Only 4 TT’s left to decide the outcome of the 2017 Handicap Trophy and let’s hope that the weather this week will encourage a few more to attend.
