Veteran Ellerbeck beats them all...
A much improved evening for the 19 riders ready to start at the 16th SNCC TT of the 2017 season. A still evening with a slight breeze on the riders' backs up to the golf course turn resulted in 4 PBs being posted by Simon, Dave S, Norman and Craig and congratulations to Craig for his first sub 30 minute TT. Fastest home this evening with a time of 27:10 was our formidable 65 year old farmer Pat Ellerbeck fresh from his recent sub 1 hour 25 mile TT’s followed by David and Karl in second and third place.
Welcome to Paul LePage a recent new member on his first TT and posting a respectable opening time of 32:42. He tells us that he enjoyed the experience and will be back for more.
Good to see our 70+ year old Geoff Smith still posting sub 30 minute times and also well done to Norman, Craig and Dave S who have all improved their opening time by at least 4 minutes this season.
Following his absence last week the ever consistent and improving Simon Elkington posted yet another PB to consolidate his position as the leader of the 2017 Handicap Trophy competition. Keeping close on his wheel is Dave S who has now moved into second position and the next 3 TTs (last one is 31st August) will decide the winner.
We would encourage as many riders as possible to be at these TT’s over the next 3 weeks.

Average time on the night was 30:41 and average number at the TT’s is 21 for the season with over 60 riders taking part so far in 2017.

Handicap Results
A quick reminder that for the Handicap Trophy, points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members. So tonight, 19 riders and 16 points were on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it.
A handicap time > 25 minutes shows how much you missed your PB by. To be in contention for points you need to ride close to your PB or improve on it.
