3 more PBs this evening and another 2 sub 25 minute times
Yet another wonderful evening for the 22 riders at the start line for the 11th SNCC TT of the season.
Tonight we had 7 guest riders and two of them Mick Hodson and Ryan Witchell delivered sub 25 minute times with our own Nic Pillinger third quickest with a 25:19 followed by our young club debutant from last week , Tom Stokes , who found another 26 seconds of time on the challenging 11.2 mile Abbotsley course.
3 PBs this evening to follow the 3 from last week and congratulations to Tom Stokes , Francis Sykes and Simon Murphy.
Average time this evening was 29:00 (the fastest so far in 2018) and to date 44 members have taken part this season. We would encourage more members to join us on a Thursday evening.
Reminder that the Ashman Trophy will be contested on Sunday 15th July and is two laps of the course. Your handicap after the 12th July TT will be doubled for the Ashman for the 22.4 mile course and usually to be in contention to win this trophy dating back to 1938 one of the laps is usually a PB ( the second lap tends to be quicker with the flying start , however not always). Basically any of the riders are capable of winning this handicap event. There is also a trophy for the Fastest Time and note that this is a closed event for members only. Make a note in your diary to be there for the 10am start.

Handicap Results
Quick reminder that for the Handicap Trophy points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members. So tonight 22 riders and 15 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it. A Handicap Time greater than 25 minutes shows how much you are off your PB.
To be in contention to win the 2018 Handicap Trophy you need to do as many TTs as you can and ride as close to or improve on your PB consistently until the end of the season.

Handicap Trophy – 2018 – Running Total
The top 4 at the moment have clear headway in the race for the 2018 Handicap Trophy with Simon Elkington continuing his good form to retain top spot, Norman lost some ground but watch out for the ever consistent and improving Simon Murphy who is still very much in contention.
Another 7 TT’s plus the Ashman Trophy on 15th July with many points still on offer this season.
