Murphy and Gurnell post PBs
Another wet and damp evening for the 11 riders ready to test themselves on the 11.2 mile SNCC TT course at Abbotsley.
The riders went out in the dry and came back in the rain. Despite the conditions there were two PB’s posted this evening and congratulations to Simon and Matt who took 15 and 14 seconds respectively from their PBs.
Simon Elkington for the second week in succession was fastest home this evening followed by Pat and Simon Murphy.
Thanks to Mandy for the time keeping, to Mike Biggs for helping with the pushing off and to Simon Richardson and John Brysden for their help on the night. Mandy’s Chocolate Orange cake was very welcome at the end of the TT although many were in a hurry to be on their way home to get dry.
Housekeeping : Reminder that the CTT levy increased to £3/TT for 2019 and a request that once the first riders have lined up for the start that other riders do not ride past the start line as part of their warm up. N.B. Start time is 15 minutes later for next week.
Next TT – Thursday 16th May – Sign on by 7.00 and Start at 7.15 pm

Handicap Results
Quick reminder that for the Handicap Trophy points are awarded for the number of riders on the night less Guests and First Time Members. So tonight 11 riders and 10 points on offer. A Handicap Time of 25 minutes or less means that you have either matched your PB or improved on it. A Handicap Time greater than 25 minutes shows how much you are off your PB.
To be in contention to win the 2019 Handicap Trophy you need to do as many TTs as you can and ride as close to or improve on your PB consistently until the end of the season.
Congratulations to Simon for taking the maximum points for the second week in succession
