Good Friday 2019 saw the annual running of the St Neots Hot Cross Bun Run to Oundle.
This year over 40 riders met in the square at 9am, all with the intention of riding the full route, so we set about splitting in to five groups giving everyone a chance to ride at their chosen speed and within their chosen friendship groups.
It was a great sight heading down the B645 seeing the groups spread out and at pace, the promise of a mid-ride coffee stop seemed to add extra vigour to everyone riding.
The coffee stop was as usual at the Tap & Kitchen, Stas pre-warned them how many of us were on route, this and our differing group arrival times certainly helped them get us served quickly and efficiently. Riders enjoyed the Tap & Kitchen SNCC special: Drink & Snack £5 combo, with sweet or savoury options to keep everyone happy.
After the pit-stop and some impromptu sunbathing the groups shuffled riders a little before heading back to St Neots, where some enjoyed more coffee at Nero’s to end off a great club event.
Special thanks for Mark and Stas for organising the event this year.
