For those that dare go on the club ride tomorrow, it looks to be cold, wet and windy so bring your wet weather gear (mudguards would be useful) and lights.

Group 2 route tomorrow will be:-

Excellent ride today guys, well done.
Welcome to Mark (who rode our Sportive) and Lewis from Cambourne, hope to see you both again next week.
Weather better than expected, no punctures although Phil got on on the way home to Buckden. ;)

Group 1 ride was good fun up until Gareth's accident. Hopefully he is not too badly hurt and will be back on the bike soon.

Gareth got home around 6 this evening. He's got a broken collarbone and was a little bashed up, but was otherwise on good form.

Really enjoyed GP2 today. It feels like GP2 has been getting stronger and faster the last handful of weeks?

Morning all, apart from the busted collar bone I've got a collection of abrasions and cuts. Morale is a bit better today.

Group 1 ride was good I felt (well what I did of it) though suspect I was slowing the others down every time we hit a steepish rise. When I said I'd be spat out of group I didn't expect it to be so literal!

Thanks to all the guys in the group for their support at the time and all the good wishes/banter on Twitter. Especial thanks to Richard Wales for waiting with me and he and his wife for collecting me/getting me to Hitchingbrooke. Same for Andy Mc and his wife for collecting me. Though I didn't envision meeting members' S/Os under these circumstances, thought it would be at something like the awards dinner.

PS - Typing with one hand is darn slow!

Hi Gareth, really sorry to hear about your spill, wishing you have a speedy recovery.
So that's both you and Steven Rodley undergoing hospital treatment, we'll give you your own special table at the Annual Dinner and Awards Evening but you’ll have to bring your own nurses!!

Ah but question is who can I get to volunteer as nurse(s)! Single roadie ... I'd add some of my usual Twitter banter but our public forum might not be the best place! (Yes Alec I can moderate myself ... some days!)

Yes tongue firmly planted in cheek still, as Adrian T said seems that when it comes to cycling I don't get down!

A prime example of a sentence that a man with Internet access should never, ever utter...

Glad you're alive and kicking, mate :)
