Just been looking at the route for this week's introductory ride, as i'm trying to convince the girlfrind to go out on it (i'll be at work)
Seems a bit crazy to me to take it over the Buckden round about, i consider my self quite confident on a bike and i hate that, i mentioned it to her and she got quite sweary!!
Would it not make more sense to add a few more miles on and take it up to Brampton and cross there?? Particularly as it's likely to be relatively inexperienced riders going out??

There's an underpass at Buckden that avoids the roundabout. If I were a betting man, etc.

Hi, as Andy says. There is an underpass which we use. Even the more experienced riders wwould not be happy using the roundabout, and rightly so. So please be rest assured that the roundabout will be avoided and the under pass used.

If you're coming through Buckden, heading towards the roundabout, as you approach, you'll see a road called "Mayfield" on your left. Look slightly ahead and right and you'll see the underpass drop away between two houses.
From the other side, as you drop down from Grafham, just before the roundabout, mount the pavement and follow it round to the left and it's right there. It's a very useful shortcut.
Check it out on Google Maps Streetview.

Garmin website version if anyone needs it. I
think the privacy settings are correct. If you get a maintenance page they've messed up so let me know and I'll beat Garmin into submission.
And yes I plan on us taking the underpass (I'm supposed to be bawling directions

)

Yep, thanks to Ruth and the other Club regulars for looking after us newbies this morning. See you in a couple of weeks for a stab at Group 2.
