If anyone's interested, I'll be doing a GP2-paced ride on Saturday, leaving the Market Square at 0830 and heading west to Olney. The distance planned is just under 70 miles (110 kilos) and I'm going to be exploring some new roads, so I make no promises about the quality of the roads or route west of Carlton
If necessary, there's a passable cafe at Castle Ashby.
The BBC are currently reporting sunny weather with mild south easterly winds in the early part of the day. If that changes, so might the route.

Looks a nice route though still undecided. Don't want to be holding everyone back again.

Only you can judge that, but you have two choices: Don't come, or come and be honest with yourself about how you're feeling. There's no shame in peeling off early and taking a shorter route home, or continuing at a pace that suits you. I've had to bail out in the past, I'll have to in the future, it is the way of things.
Carlton provides an ideal opportunity to loop back early on this route, cutting out about 45km.

Not a bad way to finish off a ride.
