Rutland Ride, Saturday 1 June. was created by Ch3rryGh0st
Is anyone interested in a ride around Rutland on Saturday 1 June? A small number (at the moment) of us are planning a jaunt there to enjoy some of the climbs, so if anyone else is interested pop the date in your diary and get a pass out.

The route has yet to be finalised, but distance is likely to be in the region of 100km. Possibly more, probably not much less. The aim is to ride the route at Group 2 pace, with a coffee stop and, possibly, lunch at the end. The route will be considerably more challenging than a Group 2 Sunday club run, with around three times as much climing, but there's some great riding and scenery up there.

More details to follow.

For those still interested, it's an early start!!
Meet at Burrough-on-the-Hill car park at 08:30.
The 61 mile ride takes in some good climbs such as Neville Holt, Stockerston and Burrough-on-the-Hill (the last climb).
Weather looks to be warm with a light NW wind

As I know some of the roads out that way Mark asked me to plot the route. Sadly I won't be able to join you, but I hope you'll think kindly of me as you grind up the 20% gradients to Neville Holt, zig zag up the Stockerston Road, roll up and down the stunningly lumpy Ridlington to Knossington stretch and finally and most especially on the long, long drag back up to Burrough on the hill.
