Where did you find water, Mark? I assume it was near Hinxton, as our group cut that section out to save time after our triple puncture.

At least you had a nice day for it
I know where the ford is, so I'll adjust the route to avoid it in future.

You weren't the only one's Mark, so that must be six SNCC riders that had a swim today?

We knew some others had been in, because of the trail of water splashes leading away from the ford for about half a mile!

Wayne, Dan, and Gary all went for a swim. Unfortunately it resulted in two mechanicals. Gary bent his jockey wheel cage and Wayne had to ride home on 53-11 or 39-11 as his rear deraillier cable bust ! He still won the sprint for the town sign.

Can't say on the cage however Broken Spoke straightened Gary's drop out bracket but I think he's looking at ordering a replacement as Wayne and I mentioned Richard's extended lead time/wait for one (any clues Richard?). BS also suggested a replacement as straightening it would have weakened it slightly.
Wayne's replaced the cables on his to my knowledge but I think we should limit him to two gears more often (though something like 53-20!)
Hope everyone in both groups isn't feeling the effect of too many bruises this morning.
Other than the swimming session for some I agree it was a nice route.
