"Arrghh...Yewr nowt from round ere! Gerroff our roads..."

I have been meaning to tell you Ade, you are going to have to toughen up a bit and not be such a shrinking violet. I think we should send you on a course in assertiveness. Maybe the club could could dig into its vast cash reserves to pay for it, assuming all the money hasn't been spent teaching children how to ride bikes.

Wow those prices are steeper than the climbs on the route!
Cant understand how anyone can justify it

Supply and demand, they obviously feel they can charge it because out there somewhere are a bunch of people willing to pay it. If they never sold any "VIP packs" for next year I bet you'd see the price for 2015 tumble.

Its just absurd IMO, maybe its cos its out of my league but even so I dont see the point of paying to ride round the countryside.
But it must work as there is pretty much one on every weekend.
Each to their own I say

That's why I stick to audaxing, £21 for the day, that includes entry fee, food on route and at the finish, car parking(most events you don't have to pay) and couple of badges for my collection.

I don't grudge paying that because the people who organise it try to keep the cost to minimum and end usually doing a better route because they have the local knowledge of the area.
