Winter Miles: Saturday 2 November

I'll be doing a GP2-paced ride on Saturday, leaving the Market Square at 0830 and heading south via Ashwell to Ardeley and home via Baldock. The distance planned is about 60 miles (100 kilos) and I'm going to be exploring a few new roads, so we may need to improvise en route. There's an outstanding cafe at Church Farm, Ardeley, should anyone require refuelling. The weather is currently expected to bring us a dry morning with WSW winds.

All abilities are welcome, so riders wanting to move up from medium G2 rides are encouraged to come along, too. My expectation is that the group will stay together and work together for the duration of the ride, whatever the abilities of the riders.

Looks good, depending on time I might have to take a short cut home and miss the Gransdens out but plan to be there tomorrow.

Any way of finding out if dave got home ok. Good ride today and looks like we got back before the wind got naughty. Wayne are you sure that was a hawk and not a pigeon?

Dave made it home okay, thankfully. Really enjoyed the ride today, and a coffee stop is always a bonus. Knowing how good the food is at Church Farm made it hard to sit there with just a coffee, though...
