Phillipines Charity Club Run was created by alec
Club member Jonathan Pang is organising a 46 mile bike ride at 9am on Sunday 24 November, in conjunction with St Ives CC, to raise money to support the British Red Cross's efforts in the Philippines.

Jonathan has produced badges displaying the Philippines flag for riders to wear and, in order to ensure these can be distributed, club members planning to join Jonathan on the ride should gather in the Market Square at 0845. Meeting prior to the planned ride time will also allow ample time for anyone to make a donation towards the disaster relief efforts, should they wish to do so.

St Ives CC will join us shortly afterwards and, once their badges have been distributed, the two clubs will leave together, providing members of both clubs with an opportunity to socialise, share experiences and argue over where the best cake stops are. When the clubs reach Hargrave, free coffee, tea and snacks will be available at the village hall, and donations will again be gratefully accepted.

All donations collected on 24 November will be processed through Jonathan's Just Giving page, which can be found below, together with a link to the route on Garmin Connect.

Please note that the ride will be unsupported, so please ensure you prepare for it as you would a Sunday club run, and bring spare tubes, tyre levers, a pump, etc., and lights are highly recommended at this time of year, also.

Just to say that those that don't want to take part in the Philippines Charity Ride, Club Ride routes will be issued.
