I'll be doing a GP2-paced ride on Saturday, leaving the Market Square at 0830 and heading south toward Barton-le-Clay. The distance planned is about 60 miles (100 kilos) and a coffee stop somewhere on the route is likely. The route is a little experimental, so we may need to improvise.
All abilities are welcome, and riders wanting to move up from medium G2 rides are encouraged to come along. My expectation is that the group will stay together and work together for the duration of the ride, whatever the abilities of the riders.

Unfortunately I am unable to make Saturday rides but that route looks interesting.
I've done a lot of MTB around that area and there are some nice roads and reasonably hilly ( for the area) terrain for the area. After your Stevenage audax I thought a train to Hitchin and a ride out and home would make a nice day out.

Hopefully, it'll turn out to be 'good' interesting rather than 'interesting' interesting -- but that's all part of the fun
Myself and Tony Scopes took an early train down to Hitchin in October (I think) and did a one-way ride home. Apart from running out of food and water about 10 miles before our planned cafe stop, it was a fantastic day out and something I'd like to turn into a club run at some point.
This was the route we took that day:

I know Tony has a route planned that comes back west of the A1, too, which we're planning to test out at some point.

Did a reci of the run between Shefford and old warden today and it is nice and lumpy in places.Just a few turns we need to be wary of as well as a few busy roads but overall a really nice route. Would be a fantastic Sunday run.
Will see you in the morning enroute either at Potton or Shefford.

Unfortunately I have a 12.15 "curfew" so don't think I will be able to squeeze this in before then. Hope you have a good ride.
