My plan is to ride to St Neots square and then head the route off at Kimbolton as I havent got 100 miles in my legs. I will work out what time that will be later.
I will then duck off at Sandy.

Did you really say duck off ?

Yes I did and you can 'duck off' too if you like

I hope your forks drop out :woohoo:

Its really is complicated

From Richard Neil - St Ives CC
Hi,
As advertised, this Sunday (16th) is our 100 Mile Challenge, in aid of the charity Road Peace. We will be gathering at the 'Local Cafe' (opposite Richardson's - they will be opening early for us) from 07:30. I will give a briefing & split riders into groups at 07:55, for a prompt 8AM start. There will be one stop, at Marston Vale Millennium Country Park. The route sheet & mapping files are on the website... st-ives-cc-century-ride
This ride is open to anybody, not just St. Ives CC members (I hope we will be joined by some St. Neots CC riders), so please feel free to circulate the details widely. However you should make it clear that the route is not signed, and there is no support (other than riders supporting each other). Those taking part should be capable of supporting themselves (inc. correct clothing for the conditions, tools, nutrition etc), be capable of achieving the distance, and navigating their own way around the route.
A suggested donation of £5 can either be paid to me on the day at the start, alternatively you can make an on-line bank transfer to the club account, here are the details:
Barclays Bank – St Ives CC Sort: 20.43.63 A/C 60774626 - Mark/Reference as “ROADPEACE”
All proceeds will go to Road Peace.
I very much hope you will be able to ride & help raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
I have not had any requests to put out a 'standard' C. 60 mile route for Sunday (well done for opting for the 100 Palo!!), so there is no standard '9AM' route this week

It is especially important this week that you have the means to navigate your own way around the route - the club only ever ridden this once before so it will be easy to get lost.

I'd like to thank Mark Roberts for putting this route together last year which a few of rode - very pleasant it is too!

Mark

It's Burroughs not Burrows and I did unclip - just the left foot and the bike went to the right ! No damage done, but thanks for your concern anyway :-)

Hi Mark,
please find attached a copy of my Club Run report for Sunday's 100 mile charity ride.

I don't think I properly expressed my gratitude for the support of SNCC for this - I think there were 11 SNCC riders in the end (slightly confused by the last moment arrival of the Filipinos!!) which was fantastic.

Please could you pass on my thanks those who rode - I hope you all enjoyed it.

As I say in the report, maybe we can make this an annual occasion - it's great to get to know 'the neighbours'!

All the best for the coming year.

Cheers.

Richard Neil (St Ives CC)
