Would be up for a 50 mile spin - maybe out to the NW so there is a tail wind home

About a 9/ 9.30 start?

Only problem is I'm only a medium distance, medium pace sort of guy!

sorry, only just seen reply from last night so a 9.00 start is not going to be possible for me now.

suggested direction, distance & pace all sound good to me, but would think noon-ish should have allowed for the fog to go

I'm meeting Alistair at 1.00 at Snooty Tavern (Gt Staughton) for a spin up to Oundle if anyone fancies it
