I am looking to aquire some 40/50mm carbon clincher wheels

They need to be shimano / sram compatable

Just FYI , planet x are doing a set for £399 - normally £499. You probably wont see new carbon clinchers for sale any cheaper. www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/c/q/wheels

I've just seen some for £220 or so on my mate's website (on the Homepage)...

Strictly speaking you'll have to pay import duty (VAT) but 99% of the time they'll get through ok. Even if you do get 'caught', £220 + another 20% is still a VERY good deal.
I've used Yishun many times and they're 'spot on'.

They do clinchers too ... 50mm ones at £278 or so :-)
