Hi,
I am training for a distance event, and am struggling with the hybrid I've used previously for this kind of thing.
I have been advised that a road bike would make a world of difference, but before splashing out I would like to see how it feels.
Does anyone have a ladies road bike to suit someone of barely 5ft 2in that I could sit on to test?

Hi Vanessa i'm 5'6" so i guess my 52cm would be too big. I'd guess you'd want a 48 (some makes also do odd sizes)
I have a mans frame having never found any benefit in a ladies. (I just have narrower bars)
Also have never bothered with ladies saddle, i think its just marketing.
Any good bike shop should let you take something out for a little ride before you commit to buying, i can recommend station cycles in Histon, and or they will let you ride it on a turbo trainer in the shop to get a feel for it.

Thanks, Ruth
Much appreciated.
My size is always an issue for things like this, but I can at least get away with buying children's gear which is much cheaper
