It’s with deepest regret I have to inform you all that due to the economic climate Viv and Tim will be closing TriSportsPlus, as they say ‘far too much work with far too little reward’. A closing down sale starts today with offers on all bikes and frames, 30% off most bike equipment and clothing and 25% off running shoes and most kit.

Seriously that's a shame to hear. Tim was always helpful when I've been up there (even before I joined SNCC) and both he and his wife made a good team running the store.

I guess the problem is we all buy off the internet too much and don't support our local shops.

I would have to admit to being guilty of that. We only have ourselves to blame.

It's difficult when we're all up against it financially, the customer service is amazing at some shops, i'll name Corley and Roy Pink as prime examples!!
Sometimes it is worth a few extra quid for a shop that'll call another shop for you when the don't have the part you need or when the shop that got the call will open it's doors for you even after it's closed on a friday night!!
That said, probably better to support your local butcher at the moment, given what's going on in the supermarkets!!

But that's where local shops are falling down, rather than trying to 'compete' with the internet retailers, why not become one as well to augment their high-street offering. In my experience, the perceived reputation of an online retailer is only enhanced by having a high-street presence.
It's a shame to see another retailer go down tho.. always is

Trisport Plus though did have an online side as well so you couldn't really lay that one at their door.
Whether it listed their full available stock or not I'm unsure.

Not sure David but the SALE is now on so if you need anything like a new Tri Bike why not give them your custom.
