What's the worst that can happen ?

Had a bit of trouble getting courses on my Garmin recently, turns out that the memory on the unit is not massive so a bit of housekeeping is in order.
what was needed was to clear history and courses, courses you can delete from the unit but history you can't so i found out how to do it here
forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?31463-Deleting-ALL-History.
I know a fair few of us now have these units so hopefully this will help if anybody is having any issues.

That model has no expandable memory but now I know what I'm doing its a relatively simple task to free up some space.

hi there yes it will not take a mini card,, strange really, why not just load your rides to garmin connect/strava (i know you do ) they stay there for as long as you want..i usually delete my rides after uploading to strava..good luck G

Unfortunately you can't delete your history from the garmin , you have to remove the files using a pc.
On the plus side its nice to have filled up the unit

( getting the miles in )

That's what you get for being a cheapskate, lack of memory

Hardly progress as you can delete history from the 705 which is the older model

... I think Chris is right about the cheap option of buying the bottom spec model!

If the 500 has it then the 800 and 810 will Geoff, I think it's more because the 200 is seen as bike computer first and navigation second and so has a cut down version of the firmware as well as lacking the ability to take an SD card for maps/memory.

Geoff, I can confirm that you can delete both activities and courses directly from the 800.
