Custom Headset Cap was created by Ch3rryGh0st
Mostly out of curiosity, I had a custom headset cap made with the club logo, to see how it turned out -- pretty well, as it happens. A few people saw the pictures I put on Twitter and expressed interest, so I thought I'd post some information here.

I also had a much more simple headset cap made for my winter bike, and have attached a picture of that, also.

The caps were done by www.kapz.co.uk, who is also on Twitter as @kapzguru, and if you take a look at the website, you'll see there are a range of colours and designs, so you can match to the colour of your ride. If you want something custom, he'll want a hi-res image in something like EPS format, and will work with you on the design. The SNCC logo cap cost me ~£20 and the more basic cap cost ~£15, but it's possible that he'll do the SNCC logo cap for less, particularly if there's enough interest to persuade him to offer a discount.

So, if anyone is interested in the SNCC logo cap, let me know and I'll see if we can negotiate a discount once I have an idea of numbers. Let me know what colour scheme you'd like, too, in case that has an impact on any discount offered.

Yes mate, I'd be interested in one, I'm not changing my name to Andy though...

how about Taylor? Then at least your initials won't change?

I'm interested in a couple Andy but will need to wait until end of April, though guess that should allow us to gauge interest?

I don't know who he is? One of those celebrities they have these days, no doubt? In my case, it's Taylor Phinney, who put in performances at Tirreno-Adriatico & Milan-San Remo which reminded me that cycling is a privilege that not everyone can enjoy.

When my head drops on a miserable day in the saddle, I wanted something to remind me that a bad day on the bike is STILL a day on the bike. A more subtle version of Jens Voigt's "Shut up legs!", if you like :)

As for waiting until the end of April, that seems a reasonable amount of time. I've got mine, so I'm certainly in no rush. If anyone wants to check them out in the flesh, as it were, find me on Sunday's club run. I'll update here when I get any news about possible discounts.

isn't the usual quote, "a bad day on the bike is better than a good day in the office"??
