tyre/tube help!!! was created by Dave
As I have to put my full attention into just making the pedals go round Im a bit dumb when it comes to maintenance and all that boring rubbish, so I'll ask the people that know....

If I have a 700x25 tyre what size inner tube do I need?

It seems simple but I really am that oblivious.

Thanks in advance.

Tubes usually fit a range of tyre widths, so look for ranges like 700x18-25 and avoid ranges like 700x18-23 or 700x28-47, etc.

And make sure you get a valve length long enough to fit your rims...

Yes. I learned that particular lesson the hard way.

They say 700x25 on them so Im guessing they will work but the one that I took off is loads narrower. They have short valves but Luckily I have a narrow rim (oooo matron!)

Also, if you have deep rims, pop a valve extender in your repair pack so you can use any valve length.

boring rubbish??

the maintenance and tinkering is half the fun!!!

admittedly repairing punctures isn't high on my list of priorities, but I love the fact that provided I have the tools, there's not much I can't do to keep my steed running!!
