I thought a some riders in the club had 'powerlinks' on their Shimano chains but haven't been able to find any of these produced by Shimano on the web. It looks like one can use a KMC or SRAM quick link on a Shimano chain..is this really the case and do they work well? I'd appreciate any guidance on this. I may just have missed them in my searches.
Thanks

I recommend the KMC missing links - they're designed to work with Shimano,SRAM, and KMC's shimano and SRAM chains.

+1 for the KMC links....work very well.
FYI 10 speed power links on sram chains are not meant to be reusable but 8/9 speed quick links are,not had any experience with Shimano reusable links as have always used KMC.

I'll try and see what is on mine. Last service Dom from SDJ fitted a Shimano Ultegra chain but it has a quick link in it because he knew come winter I'd be wanting to swap between my wheel with turbo trainer tyre (which has a different cassette and spare KMC chain) and my normal road tyred wheel.
