Summer Barbeque Sunday 5th August 2012 - Updated

We are planning hold a summer barbeque on a Sunday afternoon which will be open to members and partners.

Alec has very kindly offered to host the event but before we go any further we need to know the preferred date and numbers.

Please let me know the following:

1) Who would like to attend, with or without partners

2) Preferred date - July 15th August 5th, 12th, 19th or 26th.

Alec has a large garden, so members can bring their children.

There would be a small charge to cover the cost of the food, suggested £5.00/head.

The plan would be to bring you own drink, except that for ‘real ale’ fans we can obtain Bronze Bitter, Ruby Bitter, Pale Ale and Black Porter from Draycott Brewery (a micro-brewery next door to Alec that makes an excellent pint, that costs about £2.20/pint). Any time in August really. I can't be 100% sure which weekends I'll be free as we haven't sorted out the on-call rota for work yet. I do know won't be on-call on the 12 as I'm at Cadwell Park doing a trackday on the Thursday/Friday and I'm driving home on the Saturday.
At a push, I could still turn up even if I am on-call, as long as I have an internet connection

A date for your diary:

Announcing the St Neots Cycling Club summer barbecue, to be held at Alec's house in Buckden on Sunday, August 5th 2012. All members of the club are welcome to attend, along with partners and kids. The plan is to gather from about 3pm. The cost will £5 per head to cover the cost of food; bring your own drink. We will have some of the excellent real ale brewed in the micro-brewery next door available and you will need to make a suggested donation to the kitty of £2.30 per pint; first come, first served.

We will have a small marquee in the unlikely event of inclement weather.

In order to cater for the right number of people (food and barbecue equipment) we really need to know who is coming, so we ask that you pay your £5 per head in advance and by the previous Sunday at the latest. Best way to do this is to give Alec or Mark cash or a cheque (payable to St.Neots Cycling Club) in an envelope with your name on it at one of the club events, or you can send a cheque by post to Alec at 32 Mill Rd, Buckden, Cambs, PE19 5SS.



We look forward to see as many club members as possible at what promises to be the best social event of the year (so far)!
