Hi all, as above really. Autumn is pretty much here and I could do with some better brake blocks than I have now. Ones that stop in the wet would be useful! Oh and I use alloy rims.
TIA
Tony.

I use SwissStop green pads which were a definite improvement on the standard tektro ones that came with the bike. Koolstop salmon are supposed to be good for wet riding too - and they're a lot cheaper!
Might be worth checking your brake cables as well; a new set can make a big difference to braking.

SwissStop seem to be some of the best in the business, worth checking their website before purchasing to make sure you get the right blocks (colour/colour of writing denotes whether intended for carbon or metal braking strip)

FWIW, I plumped for the Koolstop salmons. Haven't tried them yet but they have to be better than the stock pads

Yes, used SwissStop last time I changed and I guess if there is a manufacturer that should really know about good brakes...it's a Swiss one
