Does anyone have a bike flight case that they could lend us for a week in April?
If so, please let me know!
Thanks,
Joe

I have a soft bike bag. If you're after a hard case it's no good, but if a bike bag will do you're welcome to borrow it. I have taken my bike multiple times on planes with it with no damage, but to be fair, my heart has always been in my mouth...I also have a set of pipe lagging to pop round the frame for added protection.

There is a shop in Girton (Cambridge) called Chris's bikes, he has a website, pretty sure he has bike boxes which he rents out.

Also if push comes to shove I don't know which part of London you work in but Swift Cycles which is walking distance from Liverpool Street hires out bike boxes too.

You could also try Beds Road CC, I know that have several bike boxes they let out to their members, they always seem quite amenable.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I have seen you can hire hard cases fort £6 quid a day.
I was hoping to avoid this if anyone had one gathering dust in their garage...

I did once suggest to Alistair H that this might be something the club could want to invest in for the benefit of all members. My thinking was that the club could purchase a couple of boxes and then hire out to members. Also, I thought it might be an idea to have a similar arrangement for car racks/hangers. I still think it would be a good idea and one that would provide both a service to members and eventually might pay for itself through the hire fee.

I think that is a good idea obviously with copious STNCC branding!
However storage could be an issue when it not in use
