As I'm sure most of you will now know, on Saturday the 8th March, through the NCRA, we will be promoting our first road race in many many years! This is a big deal for the club and to make it a success we need volunteers to help out on the day.
Our race will be held on the Keysoe circuit, a few miles west of St Neots, and will pass through the villages of Keysoe, Keysoe Row and Little Staughton.
We will need volunteers to help with:
Marshaling (you will be brief on what to expect, however, the roads should be quiet!)
Sign-on (accepting rider race licences and handing out race numbers)
Food - you can't have a race without tea and cakes at the end, so we need people to provide food and sell it, we won't need the quantity of food eaten at the sportive
Race Cars - I'm especially interested in people who have raced, but won't be racing on the day or who have previous experience, you will either be following or leading the race peloton
Supporters - 5 club members will be racing and I know they will all appreciate a few cheers from the roadside!
The race is relatively short and should more or less be over in about 1hr 30mins, so if you do volunteer to marshal you won't have too long to stand around! The race is also handicapped so, to keep up interest, you'll have several small groups of riders passing by.
Any way if you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible.
thanks
Richard

1st race attended and what a way to start with a SNCC win.
A big well done to all SNCC riders who took part- it was good to see the club colours zooming around the course.
Big mention to Richard for organising a great event that does the club proud.
