Garmin Issues? was created by BeloB
For the last couple of days I have been having issues with sending courses from Garmin Connect to my edge 800. Although the website says the file has been sent nothing turns up.

I called Garmin today and after 40 minutes on hold they were less than useful. They asked whether I was using the old or new site (dunno) and whether I had tried to send the file using a different browser.

Cutting a long story short........ I have tried to send an existing course(which worked before) and this has failed. I have tried a new course via IE and Firefox but these also failed.

The advice from Garmin is that, as they are changing over from an old system to a new one, I should wait a few days and try again. If it still isn't working I need to email them with screen shots. Very helpful !

Anyone else having issues ?

Ian

there was a discussion on Bike Radar about people having similar problems, especially if they run Chrome - something to do with cookies apparently.

Same here, when you try to load a created course on connect the page takes an age to load and the same with courses sent to the garmin.
If you go on the forums this is happening to a quite a few people and it may be the transition to the new site.

A mate has an 800 and that has just started crashing.

For now I would use mapometer and drag and drop the created route into new files on your garmin.

I can't download Sundays route on my Garmin, the message tells me 'to try later', and yes I'm on Chrome.

Thought it was just me  Have been sat all afternoon working through several suggestions from various forums.. Used Garmin Basecamp and only some of my created route would transfer to my device...
Have updated the firmware on the device and now it looks like we just need to sit out the transfer from Garmin to their updated Garmin Connect site.

Just tried a St Ives CC route off their site using Mapometer and it worked... Seems to be a Garmin Connect issue xx
